Trim it. Season it. Grill it. All in about 30 minutes. Sorry but that's all I have today. Extremely simple... Extremely good.

Start preheating the grill on high. Clean and oil. Rinse and pat dry the a pork tenderloin.
Trim of any excess fat and the silverskin.
A moderate sprinkle of 7:2:1 (see post here)
Place over high heat. Grill for 5 minutes then turn 1/4 turn. Do this for all four sides. 20 minutes total and the internal temp should be about 150 and done.

Thank you FDA for finally lowering the required internal temp of pork roasts!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any tricks for keeping the tenderloin upright on the skinny sides? If I'm cooking two, I just lean them against each other. But for one, most times it falls over during the cook.
It depends on the particular chunk of pig. If it is more triangular then I treat it like it's three sided. Then I would do 5 minutes times 3 and then a couple of minutes on each side again. I try not to go over 5 minutes at a time for a tenderloin on high or it get tough.
