BBQ at its absolute tastiness. This is the best grill pork tenderloin… period. Moist, tender and the most wonderful spicy taste.
Memphis BBQ Pork Tenderloin is the most common recipe people claim as their all time favorite from my site. It had a special spot on my site for a year and a half as “My One Must Try Recipe”. And I called it the best meal I had ever grilled at the time and it probably still is. It really is that good.
Sweet and Spicy OR is it Spicy and Sweet? Which ever, but this is a really tasty pork tenderloin. Start with a spicy rub, pan sear and oven bake. Then brush with a sweet spicy sauce you make from the rub. Very nice.
Adapted for a Cook’s Country recipe. I cut the recipe down for two and a few minor changes.
A very nice change of pace.
Preheat oven to 425 convection.
Mix the rub. 1 T chili powder, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 t salt and 1/4 t pepper. Mix well.
In another small bowl, mix 1 1/2 tsp of the rub with 2 T ketchup, 1 t brown sugar and 1 t apple cider vinegar.
Trim pork tenderloin of any silver skin and loose fat.
Rub the remaining rub on the tenderloin.
Over medium high heat, add 1 t oil to an oven safe pan (cast iron preferred). When hot, sear the tenderloin. About 2 minutes per side (3 sides).
Place in the preheated oven and bake until internal temp of 150-155 (about 18-20 minutes). Remove from oven and brush with your sauce on the tenderloin and let rest for 5 minutes.
